Salish is at the airport and heading somewhere by herself when Jordan intercepts her to play some challenges. The video profile becomes more interesting when her childhood friend shows up to dance, provide clues, and encourage Salish to solve some mysteries. The owner of the puppy she rescued a few weeks ago is also at the airport and her and Jordan race through the airport to be the first one to pet him.
This is the second solo flight video in 6 months and there is at least one other video where she traveled overseas. She made it on a flight to Europe for vacation within the past year. Why is this interesting?
As many adults know, airports resemble places with lots of amenities, large open spaces, and an ability to close your eyes and be somewhere else when you open them. This creates human experiences that can be amazingly relaxing. Arriving at a new location or familiar spot, can also be stress reducing.
Its not much different than jumping on a train, driving to work, or calling a driver to take you to a friends house for a few hours to many people. Airlines also allow solo flight at a younger age, and many airports have lounge areas that are available to regular flyers. This makes airports an integrated part of many peoples lives and its part of their socialization network both for work and not at work.
The video is exciting because many people cannot live without their airports. Seeing her travel opens up pathways that are motivating for professional work, virtual environments, augmented reality, and visiting random places. Its also a reminder that working hard can lead to worthwhile activities outside of work.
With all the challenges at the airport, the audience is reminded that its not necessary to clear security and wait by the gate until your plane leaves. The amenities are there for a reason and its perfectly safe to keep track of time and make it to your gate 30 minutes before the schedule departure.
