Airplanes are becoming a lot like rental cars. Its really easy to book a flight jump on a plane and land somewhere else. Older people may find this awkward, something so expensive to just do on a whim. However, flying is not viewed as expensive anymore. It costs something to fly on a plane, but its not viewed as a life savings, or an amount that would induce a panic attack in an emergency or on short notice.
Many people actually "live in the airport" and they see a lot of the same people on different planes, airports, security gates, and waiting areas as they fly around, dealing with boredom, going to business meetings, or visiting family they haven't seen in a while and still talk to. Plane rides used to be for special vacations or business meetings. That's not true anymore and most planes have gotten rid of first class or business class. There are upgrades like extra luggage, board first, or sit near the emergency exit because it has much more leg room.
So Salish went to the airport by herself and is joining the long list of solo flyers that end up at the airport and jump on a plane, just because. Its a pretty good place to hang out, there are eateries, lounges, luggage is checked in as soon as you get there, and some but not all airports allow roaming around outside the airport in between flights. Its also possible to buy two tickets if they don't let you do that. They mostly don't want anyone getting lost or missing their plane.
Her video gave a pretty good tour of the airport. At the end of the day, Jordan was there and hilarities ensued. He had ridden with Lauren to the airport and Del was with Salish, but later vanished. The video ended with boarding the plane, going airport to airport, looking for something to do on the weekend.
