Salish did not publish anything to her video profile, the last time she took a day off seems to have been in September. This brings up a lot of contexts for professional environments which kids are now a part of. Many kids write computer code, fix up websites, work with databases and spreadsheets, presentations, or video streaming sites for allowance money until they turn 12 or 14 depending on the state.

Time off from work is different than in the past, people no longer have schedules in a lot of places, they don't work 8 hours, they take 45 to 60 days off per year on average. School is now completed by 15 years old and many people will not be going to college for more than 1-2 semesters at a time.

This can create a lot of resentment for 40-50 hour a week workers with only 2 days off per week, and 2 weeks a year. People are working to make their life more representative of a developed nation status. The goal is for them to work 25-32 hours per week to cover rent, food, utilities and a little extra money for other things.

The other thing with Salish taking a day off is the concept of lurking. Visiting her video profile every Saturday at 10 AM, to see what she's up to. Wondering if she posted new content, searching for her name on the video platform, maybe shes a guest somewhere else.

A lot of people post to different websites as a pass time, some people "make money off it" but others are just communicating concepts about their environment and its hard to tell which are more of a commercial product and which are more artistic.

Its really easy to get some video editing software and make production quality videos that can be shared globally.

Today, television celebrities and other media stars can be seen at regular places. They are easy to interact with, not everyone watches television or even movies anymore. They may not even understand they are famous despite having over 1 million followers.

So lurking is kind of weird and it can make people self concious but, its like knocking on someones door and they aren't home at the moment. Maybe they'll be available on another day or they'll show up on an internet feed sometime.
