Salish judges a cheerleading competition with Jack and Markell while Jordan coaches. Competitors are all ages and while most of them are girls, several boys join the competition. All cheerleaders between ages 7 and 25 include a social media profile in the description to the video. This can help aspiring cheerleaders discover someone they admire and want to learn from or be motivated by.
Salish is currently in the 15 to 22 age group which is interesting for many reasons globally. There is a trend to classify 16 year olds as adults, many people in the 30 to 50 year range are being introduced to younger people as friends. Traditionally, 18 and over can be around any age adult but more recently there are questions on human aging and development that can cause some overcategorizations.
This makes the competition more interesting because normally, the participants would be competing within age groups. However, this competition is focused more on skill and ability. No matter what the age, the cheerleaders must attempt to complete a stunt, pose, move, or cheer. They are eliminated not based on how well they performed compared to someone of a similar age, but on whether they are able to complete the requirement at all.
