Salish and her best friend, who is of the opposite gender, have done several competitions on her video profile to see how they compare against a couple. This is another comparison video of them.
Overall, they do fairly well together as far as meeting some of the objectives for couples synergy. However, most often they do not perform as well as an actual couple. The audience has questions as to whether they are a couple or actually friends. Like with most adult situations, they take things at face value and watch the show according to their statements. That makes this a friends vs. couples video which adds a layer to the observation. Their reactions and interactions make it interesting to watch these set of shows.
Things that people note about her relationships, its considered gossip, is that she's possibly been with 4-5 guys and she is 16 years old. This is fairly average in the U.S. in some areas even though the age of first sexual contact is increasing to 19-25 globally due to changes in human behaviors. Her statement is that these are her friends and that is fairly normal after 2010. She has friends of both genders.
What the video focuses on is synergy. They do act like boyfriend and girlfriend depending on context, but a lot of people are protective of their friends and have a close emotional bond with them. We take things at face value in most adult areas. With preference and identification being a big topic, its not polite to pry anyways. Her sexuality and identification is as stated by her and this is her friend.
The activities they participated in was driving with drinks on the lap, Q&A with matching answers, and a psychology interview. They also participate in dancing which is something new that Salish seems to enjoy lately and is actually pretty good at. This might replace her gymnastics routine but she hasn't announced anything yet. She has become more comfortable with dancing over the last 6 months.
