The last weekend of August was a good day to stay indoors and spend some time with some friends. Competitions and challenges can be fun and they dont always have to be aggressive. Salish decides to play some games with her pals, boys vs girls with color coordinated t-shirts. There are some points tracking but only to see who won the challenge. The statistics aren't kept in some database to track performance against future competitors or anything like that.

The first challenge is musical chairs which can test reflexes, coordination, auditory perception, and aggression or an innate desire to win. Next cognitive processes are analyzed in a time constrained format, testing both for perception and a willingness to follow directions. This is followed by hand eye coordination, low light vision test, and balancing to see if the boys or the girls won the most challenges.

Several beverages follow the events, and each competitor has several samples. There is a challenge on structural stability before facing a moment of truth. The team that won the least amount of challenges gets a final reminder of why challenges and competitions can be a lot of fun, but may also provide other factors for consideration. Salish heads back to school next week and graduates HS in approximately 2 years.
